THE VINTAGE: The 2013 growing season was ideal with steady, moderate temperatures that allowed our fruit to ripen at the optimal speed. The result is another stellar vintage defined by clean, outstanding fruit characteristics with balanced acidity and sugar levels.
THE CRAFTING: Fermented on the skins for 6 days, drained and pressed to 45% new French oak. Aged 19 months.
THE TASTING: Our delicate Sonoma County Pinot Noir shows notes of dark cherries, clay, earth, and ripe strawberries. The mouth has a similar flavor profile as the nose with a backbone of minerality, and hints of blackberries, fresh cherries, and cocoa. The balance of the wine between its' crisp acidity and plush tannins make this wine a perfect pairing with food.
THE PAIRING: Pan Seared Chicken Breast with Polenta and Au Jus would be perfect with this well balanced Pinot Noir
